Abstract Arguably, automation is fast transforming many enterprise business processes, operational jobs into monitoring tasks. Consequently, the ability to sustain attention during extended periods of becoming a critical skill. This manuscript presents Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) prototype which seeks combat decrements in sustained tasks within an system. A brain-computer interface system uses physiological signals output by user as input. The goal better understand human responses while performing involving decision and cycles, finding ways improve performance decrease on-task error. Decision readiness synthesize complex abundant information brief period events has never been more important. Closed-loop control motivational theory were synthesized provide basis from framework for was developed demonstrate feasibility value BCI activities. In this pilot study, implemented evaluated through laboratory experimentation using ecologically valid task. results show that technological artifact allowed users regulate positively Levels shown be higher conditions assisted BCI. Furthermore, increased cognitive response seems related action small reduction errors. research concludes with discussion future directions their application enterprise.
